Update to Firefox plugin

We have release a new version of the Firefox extension which takes advantage of some of the new features in FireFox 3.6. We have updated the UI and improved the reliability of the extension.

It is an evolutionary process and we want to add more functionality to the FireFox extension. If you have not tried it, sign up for a free 30 day account of BugFeeder and test it out for yourself.

Linux and Mac Versions on the way

We are close to delivering Linux and Mac versions of our plug ins. This means that we will support all the major platforms for providing feedback and bug tracking. The tools will provide the same functionality as our current tool for Windows and we will also add some improvements to the UI from feedback we have received.

We hope to release the tools to the public by the end of March.

Simple Bug Tracking System

We have added a simple bug tracking system into BugFeeder. Our system provides simple functionality for a bug tracking system. It can be used for small projects or when you don’t want to set up or use a full bug tracking system.

An item can be entered on-line or through one of our plug-ins for Firefox, Internet Explorer or Windows plug in tool. The item can then be assigned to be fixed or closed off immediately. When the product is ready for a release, the fixed items can be released and marked ready for testing. When they have been confirmed as fixed, they are closed.

BugFeeder Beta Launch

Having spent some time in private beta, we are pleased to announce the public beta launch of BugFeeder. BugFeeder is a web service linking simple screen capture tools to existing bug/issue tracking systems. We currently support links to Bugzilla, Mantis and Trac with other common tracking systems in the wings.
